Mr. Robot is an American drama thriller television series. It stars Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson, a cybersecurity engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. He suffers from social anxiety disorder, clinical depression, delusions and paranoia, and he constantly struggles with drug abuse. Elliot is recruited by an insurrectionary anarchist known as "Mr. Robot" to join a group of hacktivists called "fsociety". The group aims to destroy all debt records by encrypting the financial data of E Corp, the largest conglomerate in the world.

Mr. Robot has received critical acclaim, particularly for the performance of Malek. When he won his first Emmy for playing this role, he said “I play a young man who is, like so many of us, profoundly alienated. I want to honor all the Elliots out there – there’s a little bit of Elliot in all of us”.

It was time for the creator of this website to pay homage to such a deeply flawed, yet genius-like and human character, and give back a tiny fraction of what Elliot Alderson has given to all those who, like him, want to break free from their profound alienation.
